Attributes: Leylands are often used as screening in areas with ample space. They will tolerate drought and poor soil conditions. They can be easily pruned to maintain shape and size, and can be planted in rows to form a rather large hedge. A word of caution when used as a hedge: regular maintenance will help keep it from getting away from you!
