Nortshore School District & State Colleges

We’ve made a commitment to our local schools
to be involved as much as possible in
creating partnerships whereby students can
take advantage of our resources for a host
of projects.
In the past we have been involved in a
number of projects related to understanding
each or our individual roles relative to
natural resource management. Some of the
projects we have been involved with include
planting native plant materials along area
streams, creating outdoor classrooms whereby
students can experience, on campus, the
science of plant propagation and growing. We
are currently working with WSU and King
County Extension doing a research project
looking at the effect of certain invasive
grasses and other species in farm drainage
ditches. This study is being conducted on
our Woodinville, Washington farm property
With the current emphasis on ‘standards’
based curriculum, it is easy to develop
projects that include reading, writing and
science skills. If you are an educator and
want to create a science based project for
your students, we hope you will contact us
and see what we can accomplish together.
While this site is certainly part of the
world wide web, this service is currently
restricted to those school districts
immediately surrounding our Woodinville
operation.
